Ionizer Water Answer to Toxic Levels of Trihalomethanes in Chlorinated Water

Edward S. Taylor asked:
A study conducted by Dr. Peter Montague of the Environmental Research Foundation discovered a link between the toxic Trihalomethanes (THMs) in chlorinated water and a host of health problems, leading many consumers to turn to ionizer water for a healthy alternative.
As water makes its way to treatment plants, it comes in contact with a variety of decaying vegetation typically found in lakes and reservoirs. The water is then disinfected with chlorine; however the plant matter present in the water reacts to this process by producing “disinfection by-products” known as THMs. Treatment plants report the level of THMs to the EPA who monitors the presence of these toxins in our country’s drinking water.
Water facilities failing to adequately clean the municipal water supply receive an EPA warning, while millions consume contaminated water. The Environmental Research Foundation found that drinking water containing toxic levels of THMs can result in increased incidence of miscarriage, birth defects, asthma, eczema, and heart disease.
Concerned consumers have rightly begun to ask how to best protect themselves and their families from the harmful effects of THMs. For some, the solution is as simple as allowing the water to stand for several hours. Those who have owned a fish know this is an important step in keeping the aquatic creature alive. This is just as important for humans, but who has the time to let their glass of water stand for hours?
Instead, knowledgeable consumers are turning to ionizer water. By installing an ionizer water filtration system, they are able to purify the water coming out of their taps and serve healthy, contaminant-free water to all family and friends.
